Recently, I received a new Kylie Cosmetics lip kit. In another post, I’ll talk about all of my Kylie products but this week, I want to focus on the Merry Lip Kit.

The Run Down:

Contains: One Matte Liquid Lipstick and one Lip Liner

Color: Merry

The Merry Lip Kit is a beautiful, deep reddish/maroon color. (If you’re familiar with Kylie’s lipsticks, it’s like a mix of the colors Leo and Mary Jo K.) I’ve heard that many of Kylie’s deeper shades turn out splotchy and are hard to blend, however, I found the opposite to be true. It  went on smooth and stayed like that– which is another point I want to talk about.

It stays on forever. The first day I got this, I swatched it on my hand and after several days and several showers later, it’s still on my hand. As for on your lips, it says on pretty well too.

Although the product itself was satisfactory, the customer service was not. I was supposed to receive this lip kit as a free gift, however, when my other product came the Merry Lip Kit did not come. I sent numerous emails asking for the free gift and after about 12 emails sent on my part, I finally got my lip kit.

And finally, a tip: on the box of every lip kit, it tells you to fill in your lips with lip liner and then to use one coat of liquid lip stick. I’ve found that it’s easier to only line your lips, not fill in. By only lining, the lipstick goes on much, much smoother and stays on longer.

Overall, I love this product. The packaging is gorgeous and color is worth the $30.

UPDATE:  this product is still available, but the name was changed to “Boujee” due to another lip kit named “Mary Jo K”
